A: Review a list of participating employers and visit their website for addition information. If you see a career of interest it is best to apply online prior to the event.

A: There are many opportunities for candidates who want a new career direction. Try to relate past experiences to your new career and have an idea what it is you want.

A: Never ask an employer “what are you looking for?” Present yourself as a candidate with a specific skill or interest.

A: Candidates are able to talk in person with hiring manager and recruiters. You will get “answers” and direction on career paths and employment. All employers are there to hire and seek candidates who have the right credentials. You can get back as much as you put in.

A: You will want to attend. Employers like the “curiosity seekers” as it gives them a chance to “sell” their opportunities and influence your future decisions.

A: Business casual and business attire. Bring up to 20 resume copies.
